The soft color variations found in this magnificent Aspen slab coffee table are due to Spalting, a form of wood coloration caused by a fungus. Natural checking has been filled with crushed malachite. The central bronze glass insert also compliments the color hues in the wood.

The Aspen slabs used in this coffee table were salvaged from our neighbors woods after a tornado went through.
